In 1970 the "Arcanul" Traditions and Customs Assembly was founded by well-known artists who capitalized the cultural heritage of the land never forgetting that their forefathers successfully danced and sang in Vienna in 1908 and London in 1937. The assembly had and still has a reach activity participating at many national and international festivals obtaining many diplomas of recognition and medals in Holland, Iraq, Poland, Bulgaria, Germany, and Hungary. This assembly represented Bukovina at the Tourism Fair from Berlin in Germany this year.

Since 1986 a Folkloric Club has worked on recording and capitalizing the local folkloric and ethnographic materials.

Since 1990 the "Dimitrie Gusti" Cultural Society has coordinated the important cultural activities.

Between 1974 - 1990 fourteen editions of the cultural and scientific "Cantecele Obcinii" manifestation took place, were organized sessions of essays and papers on ethnography and folklore, sociology, zoo technology, mountain agriculture, education. These manifestations had an extended frame due to the organization of animal fairs, customs, music and popular dance festivals and shows.
Amongst the participants there were specialists of greatest Romanian universities and members of the Romanian Academy.

Since 1991 the religious songs and poetry "Buna Vestire" Festival is annually organized in our commune. Its goals are: to make known the traditions of the commune, to increase the spiritual life, the moral - religious education. The manifestation became bigger and bigger due to participation of many well-known assemblies from many Romanian counties. The festival is an occasion for showing different popular art forms materialized in traditional costumes and fabrics, painted eggs, icons on wood or glass, wood sculpture exhibitions.
